Vacation!

We are getting ready to go on a week-long visit back to see family and I’m currently avoiding the mountain of laundry that I need to finish folding and putting away.

Packing for a trip is such a tough chore for me because I am here at home almost 24/7/365 and I rather like being here surrounded by all the things I like and use on a daily basis.  I don’t care for having to pick and choose what I can take or should take.  The worst thing about leaving?  I will miss my printer.  Silly huh?  I like my printer.  It’s my equivalent of Milton’s Swingline stapler in Office Space.

I’ve managed to convince Eddie that I am taking the laundry detergent, but so far, the printer has not made the list of things I’m allowed to take with us.  I did have him convinced that we could not leave the fish at home so we had to pack Mr. Fishy up and take him with us.  He laughed in that way that adults laugh right before they pat a child on the head, but he did say I could take Mr. Fishy.  I think he was quite relieved when the neighbor offered to fish-sit for us though.  Bummer.  I was really looking forward to the 19+ hours we’ll be spending in the car with Mr. Fishy for company, but I guess he’s better off.

Anyway, we’re off to chilly PA to bottle-feed some baby goats, jump on the giant trampoline, and enjoy the country air.  I will hopefully get to go herb shopping with my Momma and hang out with my super great siblings! I also get to meet my newest niece for the first time!  Of course all of that depends on whether I get my packing done and get the errands taken care of first thing in the morning and then make it through my eye exam.  Fun fun!

Have a good one and I’ll try to spend some time on my little vacation getting my new theme ready.  It looks freaking awesome so far, so that’s definitely something to look forward to. Here’s a bit of a teaser:
