A new week
I just love getting a fresh week. Of course it’s only great until I manage to screw it up, but it’s nice to have a clean slate to start with at least.
I got Eddie up and off to work this morning and I have a bit of time left before the kiddos wake up. I am not a morning person, but with the sleeping schedule I’ve had lately (up all night, a few hours of sleep in the afternoon when Eddie can take over), the quiet mornings have quickly become a favorite of mine.
Things went well around here last week: I got our taxes filed, worked out a new budget, got some extra work, and even managed a few hours out with friends for a girl’s day out on Saturday. It was a nice break from the daily monotony.
This morning I’ve been busy poring over WordPress themes trying to figure out exactly how I want the new theme to work and my eyes are starting to go buggy after starting at code.
It’s going to be another busy week here. Eddie works every day until about 4, I do school with the kids every day, I try to squeeze in some work where I can, and I’m also working my way through yet another huge stack of tech/marketing books.
I’m working on following through with my New Year’s goals for myself and I’ve knocked out a lot of things on my list for this month except for updating here more frequently, so hopefully, I’ll get on the ball with things and manage that a little better.
I have a few posts brewing if I can get to them, but I’d much rather work on the new design. I don’t love using other people’s templates, but WordPress is a relatively new monster for me and we’re circling and growling at each other right now.
I’ll be back later, hopefully, with a new post.
